Educational Project

The International School Pinosierra is a private institution which has as its ultimate goal the education of children and youngsters, on the basis of criteria emanated of a reflection of many years, on the art of education and the critical and professional practice of education.

For us, education includes more competence than the mere transmission of basic scientific knowledge. It also assumes the ethical sphere, taking active part in the development of morals competence of children and adolescents, in order to place them in conditions to reflect and act out of spheres of critical opinion, as much as in regard to what is the legitimate, right and lawful, as well as in the use of their sportsmanship, political and economic activities.

In fact, our work is oriented to organize in the youngsters all the symbolic contents on which the structure of our society is based. Our persistence is to form youngsters able by themselves to value their own personality and its own social dimension. Two are, therefore, the objectives of our educative action: the harmonic development of the human being and the contribution to his/her social environment.

The human being is in such a way so much more enabled to integrate him/herself in his/her social surroundings and can, therefore, take part all the better, if her/his interior has grown harmonically.

In order to secure this maturity, the institution PINOSIERRA carefully takes into consideration the three dimensions of the classic educational process: the intellectual instruction, the moral education and the physical formation.

Within our educational project, language learning plays a central role.

Teaching English divided by levels and combined with conversation classes taught by native teachers, allows a better acquisition of skills of this language.

Our Primary students acquire some knowledge of Chinese which allows them to present themselves for official qualifications. The language they speak and that milliones of people will speak in the future.

The curriculum is complemented by French as third language.
